What Do I Look At In A Property?
01 The Location.
Where in the city is the property, what neighborhood is it in? Is it in the growth path or are the prices sedentary? What is happening with development and supply and demand in this area? This is why you have an agent so you can easily get the answers to these questions just by making a quick call or text.
02 The Size.
How many bedrooms does it have, or could it have? How many full bathrooms are there, or options for more? How many square feet is the property on title compared to current condition, and how big is the lot size? Your agent or Me as Your Agent can put together all of this information for you to analyze and process.
03 The Condition.
Does the property need work? Enough work that it’s not move-in ready, or just cosmetic things? Is it already renovated, or partially renovated? How new/old are the main systems? I can help you ask all the right questions.
04 The Lifestyle Design.
Does it flow into your current life without causing too much unnecessary change? Or does it cause a big change that you want or need to make? If you are my client, you’ll most likely be considering this property a stepping stone property, so can you make it work for just a few years?
05 The Price.
One thing to keep in mind is the list price is not the purchase price, it’s a marketing price. Is it negotiable? Is it underpriced to catch attention? Is it in the ballpark of what you can afford after connected with a lender?
